Self storage offers individuals or businesses flexible rentals of secure, clean rooms, from as small as 0.5 sqm up to 40 sqm, at a large facility housing hundreds of such rooms. The customer has 24/7 access to their rented room, which is secured by their own padlock, and has entry to the facility and the floor on which their room is located with their unique PIN number. The customer can store in their rented room anything they like apart from perishable goods, lifestock or illegal items such as firearms.

Less Mess Storage is a self storage company operating in Central and Eastern Europe. It has branches in Poland, in Warsaw, Cracow,  Wroclaw, Poznan and the Tricity, and the Czech Republic in Prague.  It is here that you can safely store your private belongings, such as seasonal items, bicycles, skis, clothes, photographs, books and furniture, as well as your company items, for example documents, goods, equipment or advertising materials.

Every Less Mess branch also has a reception and shop where you can buy materials for packing, storing, and transporting your goods such as boxes, tape and bubble wrap.  All products can also be ordered and delivered to your door via our online stores: ekartony.pl/en/ in Poland or www.eobalak.cz/en/ in the Czech Republic.

Less Mess Storage has 11 stores in Poland, in Warsaw, Cracow, Wroclaw, Poznań , Tri-City) and 3 branches in the Czech Republic (Prague).

There are over 40 sizes of rooms available, from small lockers to rooms so large that you can place all things from your home or office in them. Less Mess Storage offers rooms with the surface area from 1 m2 to 30 m2, depending on location. The surface area of rooms changes incrementally every 0.5 m2. The room height ranges from 2.30 m to 3 m, depending on location. Not only a room’s surface area, but also its height is important.

A room’s surface area is given in square meters, e.g. a room of 0.5 m2 can have the following dimension: 1 m wide x 0.5 m long, and a room of 1 m2: 1m wide x 1m long. Do not forget about the height of your room, which starts from 2.30 m and, depending on location, can reach as much as 3 m. That is why it is worth stacking things on top of each other, when possible. A sofa does not have to stand like in a living room, but – properly secured – it can be placed vertically in your room. This will give you a lot more space to use, which means that you may not really need as big a room as it seems at first and a smaller room is less expensive.

Less Mess Storage is suitable for storing all kinds of things, including those requiring special storage conditions, for example documents, electronic equipment, music equipment, commercial goods, hermetically packed food, alcohol, etc. Our facilities are ventilated and heated, and the humidity is kept at an optimal level. We pay special attention to ensuring the optimal storage conditions in all our facilities.

Of course. Please visit our branches. Our employees are at your disposal from Monday to Friday from 09:00 am to 5:00 pm.

The price depends on the size and location of the room, as well as the duration of the contract. Our experience shows that our customers usually need a smaller room than they originally expect.

No, a reservation does not oblige you to sign a contract. However, it is worth making a reservation, as the availability of rooms may be limited. After making a reservation, you can come and see the room you have chosen and then make the final decision. If it turns out that the room is too small or too big, you can change your reservation to another room on the spot – depending on availability.

A contract can be signed by a natural person or a legal person.

In order for an individual to enter into a contract, a valid identity document (ID card, passport) will be necessary.

In the case of commercial companies, a tax identification number and a power of attorney to sign contracts are required.

In exceptional cases, a guarantee deposit in the amount of two monthly rents will be collected and returned to the customer at the end of the contract.

We also use the National Debtors Register, where we can check the customer’s status for the purpose of contract execution.

Yes. A room can be rented right away. Formalities take only a few minutes, and you also
need to pay in advance. Once this is done, you get access to your newly rented storage room.

Payments can be made:

  • by money transfer,
  • by bank card/ in cash in a branch office
  • by charging your credit card remotely with your consent.

Yes, in Less Mess Storage you can store your motorcycle, boat, scooter, car, etc. Please contact the staff of your chosen branch in advance to check the availability of rooms for this type of things. It is also necessary to store them without fuel, so every time you put them into the room you should empty the fuel tank to a minimum.

For safety reasons, the following items cannot be stored in our warehouses:

  • plants and animals whose storage is regulated by separate legislation, including specific storage requirements or rules;
  • explosives, flammable materials, toxic substances, corrosive agents;
  • perishable or easily deteriorating products.

Also, to answer the questions asked frequently by our male customers: No, you cannot keep your mother-in-law, dog or children in our facilities ?

Yes, however, this depends on location, and you must inform us of this in advance and accept our rules of such storage.

Yes, Less Mess Storage facilities meet the standards of the Sanitary Authorities. Therefore, you can store alcohol and  hermetically packed food with us after our staff have been notified of this in advance.

Yes, all things stored in Less Mess Storage are insured. It is possible to join the policy that we hold or to insure your items on your own.

All our branches are equipped with modern security systems:

24-hour monitoring, alarms indicating unauthorized entrances to the facility, individual alarms in particular rooms. Each Less Mess customer receives their own personal access code allowing them to enter the warehouse 24 hours a day. Each room is additionally secured with the customer’s own padlock.

In order to terminate the contract, please send us a written notice of termination in an electronic form (by email) or by post. You can also submit your notice of termination at the branch reception desk. 30 days from the day following the day on which we receive the notice of termination and after you have vacated the room, the contract is terminated.

All rooms offered by us are empty because of different needs of our customers. The most common solution is to use storage racks. At your request, we can equip our room with racks at an attractive price.  Thanks to such racks, documents are additionally secured and more easily accessible, which makes your storage room neat and tidy.

Additionally, the following things are available:

  • pallet trucks – for transporting goods on pallets,
  • pallet trucks with a lift – helpful when you want to stack goods or do not have a car with a lift,
  • wheelbarrow trucks – essential for large items such as refrigerators and furniture,
  • platform trucks – useful for transporting a lot of things in one go from a car, e.g. cartons, things in bags, etc.
  • freight elevators – so you can easily get to your upstairs room with your goods,
  • ladders – making it easier to stack things in a room.

All our warehouses have a number of amenities for customers.

On the warehouse premises the following things are available to all customers:

  • pallet trucks – for transporting goods on pallets,
  • pallet trucks with a lift – helpful when you want to stack the goods or do not have a car with a lift,
  • wheelbarrow trucks – essential for large items such as refrigerators and furniture,
  • platform trucks – useful when transporting a lot things in one go from a car, e.g. cartons, things in bags, etc.

  • ladders – making it easier to stack things in a room.

Cardboard boxes can be purchased in our shops located in each branch, as well as from the eKartony.pl or www.eobalak.eu  online stores.

We also offer other packaging materials and decorative boxes.

Less Mess Storage offers a number of additional services such as:

  • Destruction of documents – when important documents and other media are no longer needed, we can destroy them professionally and safely. After consultation, we will recommend the most convenient form of destruction for you. After safe destruction of documents or other media, a certificate of destruction can be issued, if necessary.
  • Pick-up and shipment of packages – as our customer you don’t have to waste valuable time waiting for a courier at home, in your office or our Less Mess Storage branch. You can ask us to pick up your shipment or pallet on your behalf at Less Mess. We will notify you when it arrives and keep it in a safe place. You will be able to pick up your shipment at a time convenient for you. We can also take care of your parcels, ready to be picked up by a courier.

This service is often used by mail order companies, sales representatives and people with an active lifestyle or spending a lot of time on the road.

  • Rental of a rack – at your request, we can equip your room with racks at an attractive price. Thanks to such racks, documents are additionally secured and more easily accessible, which makes your storage room neat and tidy.

Our staff do not have access to your room, and thus to your goods and things kept there, so we do not have the possibility to pack anything, either. If the need arises, our customers often hire a person who takes care of packages in the room, prepares them for shipment, and then entrusts them to us. We, in turn, hand the packages over to the courier ordered earlier by the customer.

We do not have our own means of transport, but we will gladly advise you how to access transport services and provide you with the contact details of the transport companies cooperating with us.
